Efficient Networking Is Part Of The Marketing Strategy
Being able to network effectively for marketing purposes is a skill. You might even say it is an art. There are plenty of prospects all around you but you likely aren’t seeing them.
Every single day you pass by prospects unawares. It’s because you haven’t trained yourself to see them yet. It takes some effort and discipline, but you can get better at finding new prospects to grow your business.
Do you talk to people when you are out running errands or enjoying yourself? If you don’t, you’re missing out and holding back your business. Use the 5 foot rule to help you gauge when to reach out. If there is someone within five feet of you, speak to them. It can be something nondescript, like the weather, that’s fine.
After you have broken the ice, gauge whether they seem receptive to ongoing conversation. Ask a question like “what do you do for a living?” Depending on how they respond, see if you can’t continue the conversation. They may hint, or even outright state, that they are ready for a new opportunity to come along.
Hopefully they will say yes. If they do, follow this with a statement such as “I have something I think you might want to look at. Would you be interested?” After they say yes you give them some sort of tool. It might be a website or a business card, or you might take their card and offer to get back to them with the information.
That’s it! Pretty simple isn’t it? You will have literally dozens of these opportunities every day, and if you take them your business will flourish. Even if you don’t take all of the opportunities, some is better than none. Maybe start small, with a goal of talking with 5 people each day.

Start using that 5 foot rule the next time you are out. You can’t be shy if you want to grow your business. Your network marketing prospects will multiply so quickly you’ll hardly believe it. Along with this, your income will almost certainly skyrocket.
